Dr. Staples was born in Guatemala and immigrated to California at the young age of three. In 1987, she received her undergraduate Biology degree from the University of California (UC), Berkeley and graduated from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 1991. Dr. Staples practiced as an optometrist in Dublin, CA for 28 years before moving to Sacramento County. In addition to spending time with her husband and twin boys, Dr. Staples enjoys remodeling and decorating, and spends much of her time painting and sewing and making her home a comfortable place to throw parties for her friends and family....
Dr. Manisha Parikh earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Riverside, and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. During her training, she participated in research focused on myopia management and pediatric dry eye disease, presenting her work at scholarly meetings and publishing in the Optometry and Vision Science journal. She is a member of the California Optometric Association and is certified in Glaucoma and Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA). Dr. Parikh is passionate about providing thoughtful, patient-centered eye care and believes strongly in educating patients, so they feel confident about their eye health....
